Education Projects
Encorus Group has worked with K-12 and higher education institutions to provide renovations, updates, and new builds to create the best learning environment possible.
From interior and exterior renovations to building infrastructure, each of Encorus Group’s divisions has worked with the SUNY system, the State University Construction Fund, DASNY, and school districts such as Alden, Orchard Park, Cheektowaga, Pioneer, Lancaster, and Williamsville.
As a prime consultant, Encorus has performed building assessments, foundation design for the press box structure at the soccer/lacrosse stadium, and building modification design to support the adaptive re-use of buildings at SUNY Fredonia. The firm has also provided supporting services such the design of lighting, fire alarm and sprinkler, and plumbing systems to prime contractors at campuses including Binghamton, Stony Brook, Alfred, Geneseo, and Oswego.
The firm’s regulated building materials division often assists prime contractors on capital improvement projects, such as those for the Batavia, NY school district. This project included upgrades such as roof replacement, fire alarm system modifications, athletic field restoration, and parking lot repairs. Encorus provided hazardous materials surveys, abatement design, and construction administration for this project. The firm’s construction materials testing group assisted in capital improvements for the Lockport City School District, including testing and inspection of concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and rebar as well as SWPPP inspections during construction.
