Steven Rakvica began his career after graduating from Clarkson University as a Mechanical Engineer. He was first employed to design and provide field engineering for boilers and combustion systems used in powerhouses. This was his first chance to be involved with engineering and heavy construction.

Steve continued to find work that required an engineer that could provide engineering and construction management. He joined Encorus in 2020 as a Project Manager, bringing over 25 years of engineering, construction management, and project management experience.  Steven grew from an engineer into a project manager out of a desire to help projects move from an engineered concept through construction and into use.

His diverse work portfolio has included projects in manufacturing, chemical production, power generation, and renewable energy for various clients across the country. This allowed him to work with stakeholders from private industry, state run facilities, and federal sites. He currently leads Encorus Group’s newly formed Project Management Office.

Steve met his wife Melissa in high school, and they have been married for 28 years.  They have two children that were born and raised in Western New York. Outside of work, you can find Steve playing tennis, hiking, downhill skiing, or enjoying a meal at one of Buffalo’s many great dining spots (preferably one with a good dark ale or porter on draft). In his downtime, Steve is an avid reader of historical non-fiction, or you may find him watching a great movie or catching the latest sporting event, especially Premier League Soccer.
