Architecture can be found on both the interior and exterior of every building or structure, and is an important part of modern infrastructure. The facets of an architect’s role are as varied and fascinating as their work. They are the professionals who lead the process of designing functional spaces, from concept and design to full realization of the construction documents. Architects provide creative ways to solve problems while also following codes, building regulations, and budget restraints. Part of their job is to select the strategies and materials to maintain the budget while still providing an interesting design. Such things as natural light, insulation, energy efficiency, life safety, maintenance considerations, comfort, and a pleasing environment are part of their work.
