The beginning of 2023 has already brought change and growth to Encorus Group!

After nearly three years of working closely with our clients on a myriad of project types, our electrical department has grown in talent, scope and responsibilities.   We are proud to announce that the department has diverged into two distinct, yet intertwined, groups: electrical and controls.  This will allow each department to better focus on our clients’ specific needs, grow in order to accommodate those needs, and better align Encorus Group to our long-term goals.  In addition, this will help each department to increase their technical capabilities while improving efficiency and allowing projects to completed more quickly and at a lower cost to our clients.

Jonathan Fabian, EIT, has been promoted to Electrical Lead and will lead the electrical department in the design and evaluation of commercial and industrial power, lighting and communication systems, building management and controls system design, energy conservation code compliance, protective device coordination studies, arc flash analysis, fire alarm system evaluation and design, and other areas.  He is a nine-year veteran of Encorus Group and has been vital in the evolution of the firm’s electrical department.

Geoff Chadwick, PE is in his second year with Encorus and has taken the position of Controls Lead.  His department focuses on industrial control panel design, specification, and evaluation, industrial process design, automation, and safety review, industrial controls commissioning, outage, and startup support, industrial machinery and equipment design, and PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming and design.

The electrical and controls departments will continue to collaborate in areas such as commercial and industrial communications systems, network evaluation and design, and industrial controls network design.  Members of both groups hold various Rockwell Automation certifications, including ThinManager and PlantPAX.  John Bard will continue in his role of Electrical and Controls Project Manager, coordinating team members and projects.  Encorus Group will continue to provide the exemplary customer service and innovative thinking that our clients have come to expect from us, while continuing to find better solutions to your toughest problems.
