This spring, Encorus Group’s electrical department was separated into two distinct, yet intertwined, groups: electrical and controls. As a growing company, we are always examining the best ways to serve our clients.  The creation of a dedicated controls department will allow us to bring better focus to those types of projects, such as communication / network design, control panel design, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), field support design, and upgrades for automated material handling and mechanical systems.  Our electrical department will continue to provide design and evaluation of commercial and industrial power, lighting and communication systems, building management and controls system design, energy conservation code compliance, protective device coordination studies, arc flash analysis, fire alarm system evaluation and design, and other areas.

The controls department develops control hardware and systems, which regulate the power and power distribution systems that run a plant.  In addition to design, the controls department can assist in safety review, commissioning, and PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming and design.  Nearly every industry uses controls of some type – oil, gas, energy, chemical plants, industrial manufacturing, and power generation.

The electrical and controls groups will use their collaborative knowledge and experience in areas such as commercial and industrial communications systems, network evaluation and design, and industrial controls network design, with members of both groups holding various Rockwell Automation certifications, including ThinManager and PlantPAX.

Encorus Group will continue to provide the exemplary customer service and innovative thinking that our clients have come to expect from us, while continuing to build and sustain a better world through the addition of specialized service areas.
