Join us in welcoming Matthew Inman, as he begins his role as a Regulated Building Materials Project Manager. Matthew comes to Encorus with 25+ years of experience. We are excited to have him on the team. We asked Matthew a couple of questions to get to know him better.
What led you to Encorus?
A fellow Encorus employee (Brian Jones) used to work with me at my last job and so we were waiting for the right opportunity for me to join him here.
What are you most excited about as you start in your new position?
The fact that this company has a support backbone. My last company, which I am still quite fond of, was a small company that had a small number of people wearing a vast array of job hats. For instance, one manager was both a project manager, the bookkeeper, the payroll person, and the HR department. At Encorus, they have devoted positions to these tasks, so the work gets done efficiently.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
I enjoy spending time on the St. Lawrence River.
Do you have any pets?
Two cats and one dog. All rescues.
What is your favorite book or movie?
Stephen King’s IT.
What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
Swimming in the St. Lawrence River. Inner tubes, volleyball, Hide n Seek underneath the docks and camps on the water.
If you could invite anyone who has ever existed to a dinner party, who would you invite?
I would love to invite a famous inventor from the Industrial Revolution Era, just so I could hand him my cell phone and put on a video like Gangnam Style and yell “THIS IS YOUR FUTURE!” and watch his head explode. š
