SUNY Geneseo Sturges and Fraser Halls Renovations, Phase I
This project’s goal is to provide a design solution for a complete multi-phased renovation of Sturges & Fraser Halls on the SUNY Geneseo campus. The scope of work includes interior renovations, code analysis, historic preservation, exterior renovation, ADA accessibility, and upgrades to the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Under the contract, Encorus Group is responsible for exterior structural and civil work, and will be performing site visits.
Unique Project Features
The project involves addition of an ADA accessible doorway, as well as concrete and asphalt designs surrounding the building. There are also drainage concerns with this project, as a result of possibly outdated drainage mechanisms in existing structures.
Encorus Group Solution
Encorus will pay particular attention to perimeter drainage around both halls, while also designing repairs to existing exterior walls, replacements to asphalt and concrete sidewalks, and an ADA accessible doorway to Fraser Hall.
