Level II Shear Wave Inspector / NDE Inspector

Encorus Group is seeking a Level II UT Shear Wave Inspector / NDE Inspector who is experienced, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a full-time position based out of our West Seneca Office.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing ultrasonic shear wave inspections on a variety of materials and structures to detect defects and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct ultrasonic shear wave inspections on materials and structures to identify defects such as cracks, inclusions, and voids.
• Interpret inspection results to determine the presence, location, and size of defects and prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Ensure that all inspections are performed in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasonic testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
• Communicate effectively with clients to discuss inspection results, address concerns, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Qualifications:
• Valid Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) with Shear Wave Technique, in accordance with ASNT or equivalent standards.
• 2+ years of experience performing UT shear wave inspections in industrial settings.
• Proficiency in operating UT equipment and interpreting inspection results.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately identify and analyze defects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI Certification)
• Additional certifications in non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle testing (MT), or liquid penetrant testing (PT).
• Experience with advanced UT techniques such as phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) or time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD).
• Experience in specific industries such as aerospace, automotive, power generation, or pipeline inspection.

Pay Range: Encorus Group is dedicated to ensuring fair and equitable compensation for our employees. The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $38.00 per hour. Specific compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on their knowledge, skills, and experience.

Construction Materials Inspector / Engineering Technician

Encorus Group is hiring Construction Materials / Engineering Technicians for full-time positions at our West Seneca, NY office. We welcome entry-level candidates with a high school diploma or GED. Prior construction experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections at construction sites to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Test physical properties of materials like concrete, soil, and asphalt.
  • Examine test samples, interpret blueprints, schematics, and measuring instruments.
  • Evaluate and review test and construction data with supervisors, reporting findings to engineers and other laboratory personnel.
  • Collect soil and construction material samples in the field; perform laboratory testing as required.
  • Set up and adapt test equipment based on data sheets and instructions from engineering department personnel.
  • Perform various tests on construction materials using advanced materials-testing equipment.
  • Inspect asphalt and concrete batch plants, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Record and report test results, performing necessary mathematical calculations and graphical representations.
  • Utilize computer software for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and equipment calibration.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for fieldwork.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check.

Pay Range: Encorus Group is committed to fair and equitable compensation. The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $22.00 per hour. Specific compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.

Senior Construction Inspector / Senior Engineering Technician

Encorus Group is seeking experienced Senior Construction Materials Inspectors / Senior Engineering Technicians for full-time positions at our West Seneca, NY office. Candidates must have at least five years of experience and hold or have held certifications from ACI, ICC, or NICET.

Those meeting the criteria are eligible for a $2,500 signing bonus!!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform field inspections at construction sites, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
  • Utilize advanced testing equipment and techniques to assess material properties and quality.
  • Test physical properties of materials such as concrete, soil, and asphalt.
  • Examine test samples, read blueprints, schematics, and measuring instruments.
  • Evaluate and review test and construction data, reporting findings to engineers and laboratory personnel.
  • Collect samples of soils and construction materials in the field; perform laboratory testing as needed.
  • Conduct a variety of tests on construction materials using sophisticated equipment.
  • Inspect operations of asphalt and concrete batch plants for compliance with specifications.
  • Record and report test results, performing mathematical calculations and graphical representations.
  • Utilize computer software for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and equipment calibration.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Civil Materials Construction Field or related field.
  • Current certification from the ACI, NICET, ICC & AWS or the ability to get them within 3 months of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of testing procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a motor vehicle for fieldwork.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check.

Process Engineer

Encorus Group is looking for a Process Engineer to join our growing team. This person will have the drive and experience to not only do the work but assist in running projects as well and can work with clients directly to fulfill the job requirements. Working well in a team environment is vital to this position. Some examples of specific tasks undertaken by the Process Engineer include mass balances, creation, and revision of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), PHA participation, piping and equipment specification, and code reviews.

Candidates for this job must have a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program and at least ten years of experience in process engineering and design. Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred, but not required.

Environmental Consultant
