Engineering Technician

Encorus Group is looking for an engineering technician!  This person will work under the direct supervision of our Civil Materials Testing Manager, and will be responsible for the testing and inspection of construction materials such as concrete, soils, asphalt, masonry, etc. both in the field and in Encorus Group’s accredited testing laboratory, and associated tasks.

This entry-level position requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.  Experience in the construction field is helpful but not necessary.

Environmental Consultant Intern

Encorus Group is hiring an intern to work alongside our Regulated Building Materials Group personnel performing project monitoring and air sampling for asbestos, lead, heavy metals, and other contaminants, as well as assist with other duties.  This person will have the opportunity to perform field work independently at various work site locations within upstate New York, and work flexible hours. At least three months of experience as a project monitor is required; one year or more is preferred.  Candidates not currently possessing the NYS Asbestos Project Monitor / Air Sampling Technician Certification must have the ability to obtain one through an 8-hour refresher course.  Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check, OSHA-required physical, and drug test is required.

Senior NDE Inspector

Encorus Group is hiring a full-time NDE inspector, based out of our West Seneca, NY office.  This person will be responsible for field and laboratory testing and inspection, including but not limited to liquid penetrant testing, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic testing, weld inspection, and structural steel inspection.  Level II qualification in at least two nondestructive testing methods (PT, MT, RT, VT, UT, ET, etc.) is required, as well as at least five years of experience in nondestructive testing or a related field.  Additional certifications such as API 510 / 570 / 653 or AWS CWI are preferred.

Process Engineer

Encorus Group is looking for a Process Engineer to join our growing team. This person will have the drive and experience to not only do the work but assist in running projects as well and can work with clients directly to fulfill the job requirements. Working well in a team environment is vital to this position. Some examples of specific tasks undertaken by the Process Engineer include mass balances, creation, and revision of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), PHA participation, piping and equipment specification, and code reviews.

Candidates for this job must have a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program and at least ten years of experience in process engineering and design. Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred, but not required.

Process Engineer Intern

Encorus Group is hiring a part-time process engineer intern to work alongside our process engineering group while developing skills and learning about a career in engineering.  Candidates must be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program.

Architect

Encorus Group is hiring a full-time architect.  This position requires Registered Architect certification, or eligibility to become licensed within one year, as well as a bachelor’s degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited program and 4-10 years of experience in architectural design.  This mid-level position encompasses the preparation of architectural designs with minimal supervision, management of scope, schedule, and cost for assigned projects, and direction of drafting and associate level staff in the execution of designs.

Environmental Consultant

Encorus Group is hiring a full-time environmental consultant to perform building inspections for hazardous materials including asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, heavy metals, etc. This position requires at least one year of related experience and certification as Project Monitor, Air Sampling Technician, Asbestos Inspector, and / or EPA Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor or the ability to obtain these certifications.

Associate Electrical Engineer

We keep growing! Encorus Group is seeking candidates for a new Associate Electrical Engineer position. If you have a degree and some experience and would like to assist our design team in power, lighting, fire alarm, and automation design and NEC code review, we have an opportunity for you.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program, or an associate’s degree in a technical field plus at least five years of technical/engineering level experience. Previous experience in electrical design through employment or internship is also necessary, along with knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, MatchCAD, ETAP, and EasyPower. This full-time position includes periodic visits to job sites as well as working in a professional office environment.

Associate Structural Engineer

The Associate Structural Engineer is responsible for performing structural analysis, design and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems, coordinating design work with other in-house staff, and assisting project managers. The ideal candidate will grow and develop in their own abilities and interests together with the company.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program, knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MathCAD, RISA 3D or similar analytical software. Previous experience in structural engineering and design, structural inspection, or asset management through work experience or an internship is a plus, and registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred. This full-time position may require travel to local and out-of-state field sites.
