By July 22, 2025No Comments3 min read

Join us in welcoming  Aaron Wendt, as he begins his role as Sales Engineer. We are excited to have him join the team.

We asked Aaron a couple of questions to get to know him better.

What led you to Encorus?
I had worked with various members from the engineering team on design projects and knew them as wonderful people to interact with.

What are you most excited about as you start in your new position?
I’ve spent my career working for organizations, both large and small, that were headquartered in other states and even countries.  To work with a leadership team and staff homegrown in WNY and know that everything I do assists this local team fills me with great pride.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
My first love was for paleontology, always dreaming of digging up dinosaurs.

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
Hanging out with my two children, Anastasia and Austin, goofing off with no real plan.

Do you have any pets?
I have a tropical aquarium full of sharks.

What is one thing you want people to know about you?
I’m a sport nut, especially for Buffalo sports teams, hockey, football, basketball, fishing, golf and tennis

What is your favorite book or movie?
This is incredibly hard to pick, but for certain a blend of Star Wars/Lord of the Rings/Jurassic Park for books and movies, throwing in a little Tommy Boy and Tombstone for diversification purposes.

What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
My music teacher Mr. Kayne was such an awesome instructor, composer and percussionist.  He designed a course called jazz studies where we would just have jam/improv sessions 9th period to end every day – I took this class every year I could.

Who was your favorite teacher in high school, and why?
My party would consist of Jesus (explanation not needed), Gregor Mendel (founder of genetics), Jordan Peterson (clinical psychologist), Roger Federer (all-time great in tennis), Benjamin Franklin (American intellectual), and Weird Al Yankovic (songwriter). For the record, Josh Allen wouldn’t need to be invited as he would also have a permanent invite, as long as he never plays for another football team.

If you had to choose one food to take to a deserted island, what would it be?
Spaghetti parmesan.
