Join us in welcoming Aubrie Johnson, as she begins her role as Social Media/Marketing Coordinator. Aubrie comes to Encorus with 7+ years of experience and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communications from Cazenovia College. We are excited to have her on the team. We asked Aubrie a couple of questions to get to know her better.
What led you to Encorus?
I was looking for a place where I knew that I was going to have the opportunity to grow professionally and personally. I’m interested in the services that Encorus offers, and as a Graphic Designer it’s important that I believe in the company and the services that I am helping to market for.
What are you most excited about as you start in your new position?
I’m excited to launch into a new industry and learn all the nuances that will come with it. The people have been absolutely awesome and welcoming here so far too, and I can’t wait to work alongside them.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
In the warmer months here in Western New York I like to venture out to nature preserves and hiking trails. I love being surrounded by nature and the challenge of a good hike. When the weather cools down, I love to drink tea and snuggle up with one of my cats and read.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, two tuxedo cats named Luna and Kiki.
What is your favorite book or movie?
The Outlander series. I love a good historical or mystery book.
Who was your favorite teacher in high school, and why?
One of my favorite teachers was Mrs. Christensen. She was the Multimedia Teacher at CA BOCES. She opened my world to graphic design and marketing. Without her and taking the courses there, I might not be doing what I love today.
If you had to choose one food to take to a deserted island, what would it be?
It’s a toss-up between sushi or a mediterranean hummus power bowl.
