Join us in welcoming Jeremiah Reeve, as he begins his role as Associate Structural Engineer. We are excited to have him join the team.
We asked Jeremiah a couple of questions to get to know him better.
What led you to Encorus?
I learned about Encorus when researching engineering companies in the Buffalo area. Later, I encountered Encorus recruitment at a HireBuffalo career fair. After discussing the work that Encorus takes on, and the values of the company, I submitted an application to part of their structural design team
What are you most excited about as you start in your new position?
I am most excited to learn from great engineers. The team that I am a part of has experience that I know will help me grow as an engineer, and that is something I value greatly.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
My favorite way to spend a day off is to go out and explore the city of Buffalo, whether a new coffee shop or a new restaurant.
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was younger, I knew I wanted to be a builder in some capacity. After taking high school physics, I realized that I wanted to build through engineering.
Do you have any pets?
I have a cat named Janey.
What is one thing you want people to know about you?
I want people to know that I’m open to talking about anything. If you’re interested in something, chances are I’ll be interested in why you’re interested.
What is your favorite book or movie?
My favorite book is The Old Man And The Sea.
What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
As a kid my favorite thing to do was to go camping and fishing.
Who was your favorite teacher in high school, and why?
My favorite teacher in high school was my physics professor, Professor Willie. He was a character.
If you had to choose one food to take to a deserted island, what would it be?
I would take pizza over anything else to a deserted island.
