Join us in welcoming Lisa Suggs, as she begins his role as Senior Project Administrator! She has over 23 years of experience in Project Administration. We are excited to have her join the team.
We asked Lisa a couple of questions to get to know her better.
What led you to Encorus?
I’ve worked with Steve Rakvica since 2005, and when I started to look for a new job, Steve found me. I’ve worked with Encorus on a few projects and their reputation preceded them.
What are you most excited about as you start in your new position?
A new start, new learning experience, challenges of a new environment.
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Growing up on a dairy farm, and with horses, a vet.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
Reading and creating things, knit and crochet.
Do you have any pets?
Four cats, starter kit for crazy cat lady.
What is one thing you want people to know about you?
I’ve been in many situations that are “new” places – school, states, towns – and have always found a way to adapt.
What is your favorite book or movie?
My favorite book is City of Light, and my favorite movie is When Harry Met Sally.
What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
Riding horses.
Who was your favorite teacher in high school, and why?
English, my teacher was willing to meet with me even after graduation, his tips and advice have proven worthy for over 35+ years.
If you could invite anyone who has ever existed to a dinner party, who would you invite?
Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong
If you had to choose one food to take to a deserted island, what would it be?
My mom’s brownies.
