Project Objective
The scope of this project included the design of steam repairs / upgrades for the Canandaigua VAMC campus.
Unique Project Features
The project required a full analysis of the existing steam system, since there was a lack of documentation of the location and condition of steam lines on campus.
Encorus Group Solution
Encorus provided a full steam trap evaluation, including all steam lines, condensate lines, and steam traps to include detailed as-built drawings of the current steam system. This was accomplished with consideration to the possible presence of asbestos insulation on old piping, and a phasing plan was provided to continue to provide steam to the campus while repairs occur.
