NDE Chair Lift Inspections

Project Objective
Perform on-site non-destructive testing on chair lift components to find cracks, weak spots and potential failure points.
Unique Project Features
Lift grip inspections were conducted using wet fluorescent method testing. A field indicator was used to assure defect orientation and field strength. Chair hangers were inspected using a dry powder method of magnetic particle inspection.
Encorus Group Solution
Any component not found to be within the manufacturer’s acceptance criteria was to be placed out of service.
