Project Objective
The goal of this project was to provide subsurface information regarding existing building foundations and evaluation of subsurface conditions for new building additions.
Unique Project Features
Site access was extremely limited and excavation was in progress against fragile existing building walls.
Encorus Group Solution
Encorus staff mobilized a small, rubber-tire backhoe to excavate test pits along the 100+ year old walls to the base of the foundations in order to determine the elevation of the structure. A track-mounted drill rig was used to investigate the subsurface soils at various locations on-site for a proposed addition.
