Encorus Group Staff Spotlight: Brian Kader

By January 5, 2022No Comments3 min read

Brian Kader graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s Degree in broadcast journalism, and a concentration in psychology. He never had any intentions of entering the engineering field but the opportunity to work flexible hours at Encorus enabled him to do so. Brian started working at Encorus about five and a half years ago, as a part time employee that worked around his schedule. He has developed great relationships with several employees within the company.  Brian admires people within the company, like Joe Lowry and Brian Tomczyk, for their passion, drive, and their trustworthiness for someone who doesn’t have a wealth of experience in the field.

Brian started working with the civil technicians at our Buffalo location as a SWPPP inspector.  Stormwater pollution prevention (SWPP) inspections occur on most construction sites which disturb over an acre of land.  He gets to an average of about 10 sites a week to perform inspections and like everything else in field work, his schedule is busier in the summer than when the snow is flying. Brian was looking to expand his role within the company at the start of the pandemic and he latched on to a role as an IT assistant, which is a position that basically created itself as the company continues to grow.

The flexible scheduling allows him to continue his passion for coaching. Brian is the varsity football coach at Springville-Griffith Institute High School and the indoor-outdoor track coach at West Seneca West High School. One of his favorite things about coaching is the ability to have an impact on and develop meaningful relationships with student athletes. These interactions are also what he enjoys about working at Encorus. As one of the few people in the company who regularly interacts with each office location, Brian has been able to meet and converse with employees in every department, all of whom bring something different to the table.

Brian is hopeful that he can continue to grow within the company, as they have provided him with opportunities when he needed them the most. He likes to spend his free time bowling, playing softball and playing with his two cats, Doc and Gibbs.
