Join us in welcoming Abby Hannel, as she begins her role as Human Resources Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Leadership and brings two years of experience in recruiting and human resources. We are excited to have her join the team.
We asked Abby a couple of questions to get to know her better.
What led you to Encorus?
My journey to Encorus began with my love for Buffalo. I was planning a move from Rochester to be closer to family, and during my job search, the Human Resources Coordinator position immediately caught my attention. The description “a motivated self-starter with a passion for people, learning, and continuous improvement” felt like it was written for me! As I learned more about Encorus, especially its strong core values and status as a local, veteran-owned company, my interest only grew. It felt like the right fit both personally and professionally.
What are you most excited about as you start in your new position?
I’m most excited to collaborate with the different departments and offices! I love connecting candidates with opportunities where they can truly thrive, and I look forward to supporting the team in building a strong, engaged workforce. I’m also eager to learn and grow alongside my new colleagues at Encorus!
Do you have any pets?
Technically, he’s not mine, but my roommate has a cat named AppleJuice. It’s a silly name, but he’s very sweet.
What is one thing you want people to know about you?
Outside of work, I’m a Registered Yoga Teacher. While I’m not currently teaching in Buffalo, I would like to get involved with the Yoga community here.
