We asked James a couple of questions to get to know him better.
What led you to Encorus?
My sister Cat, Marketing Coordinator here at Encorus Group, encouraged me to apply for the position, noting the company’s strong work environment and opportunities for growth.
What are you most excited about as you start in your new position?
I am most excited about entering a new field and being able to grow into a new role. I enjoy learning new skills, and I felt the position offered a lot of that opportunity.
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A wizard (I read a lot of Harry Potter).
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
Drumming, working on or riding my motorcycles.
What is one thing you want people to know about you?
I am most personable in one-on-one conversations or small groups.
What is your favorite book or movie?
Mad Max and Fight Club (Book and Movie).
What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
Be outdoors, Snowmobiling, jet skiing, riding dirtbikes, and ATVs.
Who was your favorite teacher in high school, and why?
Mr. Paul, Honors science. Didn’t treat his students as kids; he was fairly intelligent and witty.
If you could invite anyone who has ever existed to a dinner party, who would you invite?
Carl Jung.
If you had to choose one food to take to a deserted island, what would it be?
Steak.
