Join us in welcoming Nathan Brady as he begins his role as Environmental Consultant. We are excited to have him join the team.
We asked Nathan a couple of questions to get to know him better.
What led you to Encorus?
I’m always a big believer that the Universe has a plan. I believe the universe led me to Encorus! My educational background is in Environmental Geography, and upon graduating from Buff State, I started working directly in my field of study at the USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture), conducting field surveys for invasive insect species. I loved that line of work and working with the environment; however, after 6 years at the USDA I was let go due to a lack of government funding back in 2025. That door closed; however, this door opened and I can’t wait to see what opportunities await here at Encorus!
What are you most excited about as you start in your new position?
I’m most excited about returning to fieldwork! In my last job, I was stuck inside for 8 hours a day and went a bit stircrazy. I can’t wait to get back out into the field and have the opportunity to travel all over NYS!
Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have one Cat, Punkin, who is very sweet and spicy at the same time, but I believe that’s because she is a tortoiseshell kitty! She is very pretty, and if anyone wants to see her, I will have a picture of her on my desk very soon!
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
One of my favorite ways to spend a day off is spending time with my family (my fiancé, 3-month-old son & Punkin)! Going on an adventure to the grocery store or to the nature trail—whatever the adventure entails, I love spending time with them.
What is one thing you want people to know about you?
One thing I want people to know about myself is that I’m a happy-go-lucky person with many catchphrases and dad-jokes that I have acquired throughout the years. I hope to bring positive energy to Encorus that uplifts and brings good vibes to everyone around!
